BLADE RUNNER—Style Frames
A recurring idea from the original Blade Runner was the idea of man’s creator or ‘God’. I set out to create a main title sequence that could capture the spirit of this.
With a borrowed projector, a rented camera, and dusty old props and radios, I captured a series of photographs that show a divine, omnipresent beam of light traveling through an abandoned room. As it makes its way across it illuminates various objects that play an important role to the film, until finally the light intensifies and engulfs everything.
